GAME OF THE DAY: BOLT ACTION

This week the club will be playing Bolt Action: Scenario 3: Key Positions (BA p.136) at 750 Requisition Points.

OBJECTIVE: “The battlefield includes a series of positions that are strategically vital for the continuation of the campaign and must be seized at all costs.”

  • Observers and Snipers: Both sides are permitted use of the special deployment rules for observers and spotters as per the Setting up Observers and Snipers rules (BA p.131)
  • Reserves: Both sides are permitted the use of reserves as per the Reserves rules (BA p.132).
  • Deployment: No units may be placed on the board at the start of the game with the exception of observers and snipers.
  • 1st Wave: Any unit not placed into a reserve will be assigned to your 1st Wave. At the start of the game, 1st Wave units must must be activated with either a Run or Advance order. They must then move onto the table from anywhere along your own table edge.
  • Game Duration: At the end of Turn 6, A die shall be rolled, On a 1, 2 or 3 the battle has ended, on a roll of 4, 5 or 6 the battle will continue with one final turn.
  • Victory: At the end of the game, if you hold more objectives than your opponent you win, otherwise the game is a draw. To hold an objective there must be a model from one of your infantry or artillery units (or a transport including one such unit) within 3″ of the objective at the end of the game, and there must be no enemy unit within 3″ of it.
